Meet Kelsey.

Kelsey Dunn, LMHC, somatic psychotherapist in New York City, seated in a warm neutral therapy space.

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I've spent my career supporting women through their hardest moments, and I'm committed to meeting you exactly where you are.

I'm genuinely passionate about supporting women through their healing and freedom. Early in my career, I worked across different settings — an eating disorder treatment center, a group practice for women, a faith-based counseling center — but my focus never wavered: supporting women through their personal healing journeys. And across every setting, I've learned that women deserve a therapist who shows up with full presence, genuine care, and a real commitment to your wellbeing.

I am a somatic psychotherapist, which is a clinical way of saying that your body is just as much a part of your healing as your mind. Sometimes our nervous system gets stuck in fight, flight, or shutdown, and no amount of talking can get you where you need to go on its own. That's where somatic work comes in. I trained at Fordham University and draw from integrated somatic therapies, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, IFS, Emotional Freedom Technique, and applied polyvagal theory — not because the names matter, but because each offers a different pathway to help you reconnect with yourself and move through what's been stuck. The modality isn't what heals you; the relationship and your own knowing does.

I believe in providing care that truly sees you. Whether you're a woman of color, LGBTQIA+, navigating a different faith or spiritual path, or living with disability, you matter in your wholeness. My genuine hope is that through our work together, you feel deeply connected, supported, and able to live the life you actually want to live.
